Percevia does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. Everything the app does happens on your device.
Camera, photos, and videos
Camera frames and any photos or videos you choose are processed entirely on your device to render an approximate color-vision simulation. Percevia does not upload this media to any server and does not save it.
Local settings
Your selected simulation type, severity, and mathematical model are stored locally on the device using Apple’s UserDefaults. These settings never leave your device.
Analytics, advertising, and third parties
Percevia contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, accounts, network client, or third-party SDKs. The app does not even require internet access.
Children
Percevia does not knowingly collect data from children or adults, because it does not collect user data at all.
Not a medical device
Percevia is an educational tool that provides an approximate visualization of how colors may appear with different color-vision characteristics. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, screen for, test, treat, or manage color-vision deficiency or any other condition.
A mathematical model cannot fully reproduce another person’s subjective perception, and results may differ from how any individual actually sees. Do not rely on Percevia for medical, safety-critical, or professional decisions. For diagnosis or advice, consult a qualified eye-care professional.
Changes
If the app’s privacy practices change, this page and the App Store privacy information will be updated before the changed version is released.
